We went to Sweetberry Farms with our friends, Koran and Tova and Melanie and Holden. There are usually a lot of pumpkins but the early rains made for a small crop and this was all that was left!! We still had a great time!

Little funny
I've been putting all the funny things Kate says and does on a sidebar but I think I'll just put them into the main part of the blog since I'm not posting as much. Yesterday, her friend, Grace needed help with putting on her bathing suit so I went to help her. Kate came up behind me and put her arms around me from behind and said "my mommy will help you. She's a good worker." It's so fun to hear what comes out of their little minds now!

Wow! It's been a while
I can't believe how long it's been since I've actually posted anything. We have been very busy but I've been digi-scrapbooking and I guess I really don't have enough time to do both!
I had to share our carwash story though. Yesterday, we were at the gas station and decided to get the car washed. It's been a while, but we didn't realize how long. Kate went into a state of near panic over the whole thing. Unfortunately, we had two cars in front of us and plenty of time for her to work herself into a frenzy. She was screaming, flailing her arms, I'm sure she would have gotten out of her carseat and run if she could've. We're still not sure what all the fuss was about. When we finally got into it, she had her hands over her ears crying but after it started, she calmed down. When we drove out, she said, "I want to do that again sometime, that was fun!" Strange child.
We also went last night to see fireworks, a first for Kate. She's seen them from a distance before but we've never been to the actual place where they're setting them off. She started off very excited and oohed and aahhed with the rest of us but about halfway through, she became convinced they were going to come over us and get us and got scared. By the end, though, she seemed okay and said she wanted to do it again soon. Guess we'll have to wait till next year!

First prayer
Tonight we got home late and I put Kate in bed and she came out a few minutes later and said "we forgotted to pray, momma" so I went back to her room. She said "Dear Lord, thank you for watching over mommy and daddy and noah and the princesses. Please watch over Kate and Noah and mommy and daddy. Amen." This was the first time she prayed herself! She usually just wants me to do it and I have her talk about what she wants to pray for but she doesn't actually pray. It was so precious.

Kate's new roommates
Meet Grace and Aubrey, Kate's new anole friends in her playhouse. One has been there for a few days and she named her(it's a him) Grace(the green one) and the other is darker and she named her Aubrey after two of her friends. We have at least 10 animals and babies named Grace, by the way, even though we don't get to see Grace as much this year since she's in school. Their friendship obviously made an impression on Kate! Aubrey, we have only seen once since Halloween but I think since she met Aubrey through Grace, she just thinks the names go together.
More wildflower pics!

Painting with cookie cutters
We did this with our weekly playdate on Monday and again Tuesday with our friend, Peyton. Kate LOVES it! It's one of the only crafts I've seen her get so into and just totally dig. We'll be doing it again soon, I'm sure. Here are two of her masterpieces. We got the idea from our new favorite website, http://www.notimeforflashcards.com/
