Buda Egg Robbery

I could not BELIEVE the parents at the Buda Egg Hunt. It was total madness when the whistle blew. Parents were scooping up handfuls of eggs. I did not realize this until I looked up one second and there were hundreds of eggs and the next second, the field was empty. Kate got 8 eggs while there were kids with easily 40-50 but at least she got them fair and square, she picked them up herself! It would've been so much more fun if the parents had allowed the kids to do it. She did get to play with the animals and didn't torture any this time. She also loved the train! She and Grace laughed the whole time they were riding it.

Best buds

Kate and Grace continue to amaze me. They love each other so much for two 2 year olds! At the Easter egg hunt yesterday, Kate wanted to go in the bounce house and couldn't get her shoes off, so Grace came to the rescue. Here are a couple of pictures. I love how they love each other!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Kate loved hunting for eggs and getting her face painted. At one point, she and another little girl tried to pick up the same egg and Kate picked it up and offered it to her. I was so proud of her! We had to convince her on the Easter bunny, she finally decided it was okay to sit in his lap when he gave her a lollipop. Kate hasn't had much exposure to small animals; she pulled a poor bunny's ear through the cage and then tried to pick up a baby duck by it's neck. Yikes! Thankfully she didn't do any damage to the poor little critters!

A Day at the Rodeo

Kate and all her friends enjoyed a fun day at the rodeo today. They rode ponies, pet the animals, and got free ice cream. Who could ask for more? We blew through naptime and all the kids were so good, we couldn't believe it! Kate, Grace and Aubrey even got to see Whiplash the Cowboy monkey on our way out.

Go Fly a Kite

We got Kate her first kite today. She loved watching it go up and holding on-she didn't let go one time. Several times she would lose interest and turn it over, only to, moments later, realize the privelege she had relinquished and want it back. She also had a great time playing at the playground.

First prayer

Tonight when I was putting Kate down, she said "hold hands" and held her hands out. We always hold hands to pray at night. Then she said "thank you for mommy and daddy, grace, aimee, tova, noah." Then she said a bunch of stuff I didn't understand, then "obey mommy and daddy." Then she said "okay" and let go. It was so cute!

Playroom

Kate got money from grandpa for her birthday last year and I finally got around to putting up the "Wallies" we got with it to decorate her play area which is also my office. She loves it!
