Children's Museum

We went to the children's museum with several friends today and Kate had a blast! She has a new friend named Faye and they had a blast painting together. They really seem to enjoy each other.

Kate also loved the little grocery store. She's really into filling her cart at home so this was a little piece of Heaven as you can see from the overflowing cart! Playing outside in the water was also a big hit.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic

Last night while Kate was taking a bath, she kept catching bubbles. It was amazing how well they stayed in her hand. She was laughing and having the best time. She IS the essence of magic to me. It just amazes me to watch this little girl sprouting from the tiny baby she used to be. She melts my heart several times a day and just leaves me in wonder at God's amazing power and grace! I am so thankful for my little piece of Heaven!

Why?

Am I in for it now? Kate just asked "why?" for the first time. To be specific, I said "we don't leave toys on the floor," and she looked up at me and said "why not?" It begins!

Little Swimmer

We went to a water park for kids on Thursday. Kate's been watching the olympics and kept saying she was going to go under water like them. Well, she was playing in the kiddie pool and came up to me and said I'm going to go under water all by myself, plopped down and put her whole face in the water and kind of crawled like she was swimming and came back up grinning! She did it over and over and was so proud of herself. She's definitely holding her breath because she isn't coming up sputtering at all!

Super smart day!

Today, Kate came and woke us up early and we told her to go play. She went to the potty by herself, put all her clothes on and came back. She had put everything on right including her panties and a shirt that's hard to put on! This was the first time she dressed herself.

Later in the morning, I got out some new flashcards. Each card has a picture and you're supposed to identify the color and the object, like "blue bird". Within a few cards, she had the hang of it and even named "brown teddy bear!" I thought she might just say brown bear but not the whole thing!

Grass Friend

Kate and I have joined a new meetup group of wonderful ladies and kids between 2.5 and 5 years old and are having so much fun! Kate made this grass friend at a playdate. It's a kneehigh stocking with dirt and grass seed, which she helped decorate and is so excited has grown hair!

Buda Firehouse tour!

Kate and I joined our MOPS group and invited Tova and Ms. Koran along as well to visit the new Buda Firehouse. The firemen let us climb all over a brand new truck and see the inside of the firehouse.

Praying

Kate's going through a phase where when I say let's pray she says "I'm not gonna do it" and waits for me. Tonight I said, "who do you want to pray for?" She thought for a second, then said "boys!" I said "boys?" and she said "boys!" She then started giggling hysterically which got me giggling hysterically. I have no idea what got into her but it was hilarious!

Hope you enjoyed the silly Kate story!

Dinner Date with Zander

Zander's and Kate's dads were both on work trips at the same time so we decided to go out to eat at Jason's deli. After, we played for a little while on the playground out back!

Playdate

I haven't posted playdate pictures in a while. I'm so glad Kate has her friends Tova, Noah and Grace(and I have the friendship of their moms). They've been playing weekly for almost 2 years now and are the best of friends. Don't get me wrong, the fights break out, but they still love each other later. The little dark haired boy is Maika, Grace's mommy is a nanny to him now and he came along this day.
